Striking results from the general election poll conducted in February! What is the point gap between the AKP and the CHP?

PİAR Research conducted a new public opinion survey between February 2 and 5.

In the survey, which included 2,260 participants, the question "Which political party would you vote for if a general election were held this Sunday?" was asked.

After distributing the undecided voters, the poll results were as follows:

CHP: 35.1 percent

AKP: 31.7 percent

MHP: 9 percent

DEM Party: 8.8 percent

İYİ Party: 5.6 percent

Victory Party (Zafer Partisi): 4.2 percent

New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi): 2.7 percent

Other: 2.9 percent

Following Keçiören Mayor Mesut Özarslan's departure from the Republican People's Party (CHP), the tension between him and CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had caused a wide stir in public opinion. While the potential impact of this development on public opinion polls was being debated, PİAR Research President Kadir Atalay joined a Tele2 broadcast to provide his assessments on the matter.

Atalay argued that the public disclosure of messages allegedly exchanged between Özel and Özarslan, who left the party, was later seen as a mistake. Stating that the move in question was intended to put Özgür Özel in a difficult position, Atalay noted, however, that it was not foreseen that the support for Özel from the CHP base would be this strong during this process.
