Strong storm approaching: Meteorology issues warning with specific timing
The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that strong winds and storms are expected in Eastern Anatolia, the inland parts of the Eastern Black Sea region, and the eastern part of Southeastern Anatolia. The wind, which will become effective after this evening, is expected to blow as a short-term storm, especially in high-altitude areas. Citizens have been warned against potential disruptions such as transportation delays and roofs being blown off.
According to the statement made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the wind is expected to blow strongly from northern directions after this evening in Eastern Anatolia, the interior parts of the Eastern Black Sea region, and the eastern part of Southeastern Anatolia, with short-term storms occurring in some high-altitude areas.
Caution and precautions are advised against negative impacts in these regions, such as transportation disruptions, roof damage, and the blowing of snow, trees, or poles.
The strong wind and storm are expected to end tomorrow afternoon.
