Testimony of arrested Mehmet Akif Ersoy revealed! 'There was a period when we flirted, but...'

The prosecutor's testimony of Habertürk TV Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who was arrested in a drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, has been revealed.

According to information reported by Onur Erkan from Serbestiyet, Ersoy did not accept the allegations directed at him.

In his statement to the prosecutor's office, Ersoy expressed that he denied the accusations regarding group sex and drugs made against him.

Ersoy also touched upon a traffic accident he was involved in in the past, stating, "I was not under the influence of drugs during the accident. There is a police report regarding this," he said.

Furthermore, Ersoy said, "It is true that we went to Barcelona for a vacation because a friend of A.G. was also there. We happened to run into Rezan Epözdemir there by chance. My Consul General friend was also there."

Ersoy also stated that in February, he had previously filed a criminal complaint regarding an account on the X social media platform that shared allegations about him.

"I absolutely reject the statements and allegations in question regarding me. I have never used drugs in my life. These allegations are very ugly.

There was a period when E.A. and I flirted, but we could not continue it and ended it. The allegations regarding a dialogue between my friends and E.A. are very ugly. Nothing like that happened. I moved out of the residence named Seba in 2022. M.A. never came to the house in Ulus.

I do not know E.A.'s sister, E.A., but I know of her because of E.A. It is out of the question for me to protect her in any way. In fact, on the contrary, I sent E. and her mother to the police. I told them to go and cooperate with the state, and they did.
