The end of traffic radar surprises: All locations will be visible on the map
With the new system implemented by the Ministry of Interior, drivers will now be able to track radar and inspection points on their routes in real-time via a map.
The Ministry of Interior has launched a new application to increase traffic safety and ensure drivers comply with speed regulations.
With the new application, drivers can view radar and inspection points on their travel routes in real-time.
The system has been made accessible through a special page created on the Ministry of Interior's official website. Drivers can access the map under the heading "Inter-provincial radar and control point application numbers" and follow data that is updated approximately every 30 minutes.
When entering the "Inter-provincial radar and control point application numbers" category, users are presented with two separate sections titled "From" and "To".
After entering the departure and arrival points by province and district in the specified fields, clicking the "Create route" option allows users to see a detailed list of radar points, speed corridors, and inspection points along the route.
For example, a journey from Sarıyer, Istanbul to Soma, Manisa includes 2 radar points, 16 control points, and 3 speed corridors along the route.
Similarly, drivers wishing to travel from Beylikdüzü, Istanbul to Şarköy, Tekirdağ will encounter 4 radar points, 7 control points, and 16 speed corridors.
2026 RADAR FINES
Radar fines applied for speed violations vary gradually according to the rate of excess. The lowest fine is 2 thousand TL (between 6-10 km/h), and the highest fine is at the level of 30 thousand TL (66 km/h and above). While it is stated that the tolerance practice has been removed in the new system, no fine is issued if the speed limit is exceeded by 6 km/h or less. Fines start at 2 thousand 719 TL for speed violations between 10-30 percent, 5 thousand 662 TL for violations between 30-50 percent, and 11 thousand 631 TL for violations over 50 percent.
