The Venezuelan capital, Caracas, became the center of an extraordinary military operation last night.

As a result of the intervention launched by the U.S. at 02:00 local time, Venezuelan leader Maduro and his wife were captured by U.S. forces in a short time.

No casualties were reported among American soldiers during the operation carried out by the Delta Force special unit.

U.S. President Donald Trump shared the details of the operation and stated that the raid unfolded with a speed worthy of a movie.

According to Trump's statement, the moment Maduro realized the operation was underway, he headed toward a room he believed to be safe. 'Maduro was trying to reach a place he thought was safe, but it wasn't safe; because we blew the door off in about 47 seconds.'

'He reached the door but couldn't close it. He was raided so quickly that he couldn't get into that room,' Trump said, emphasizing the success of the operation.

Around 04:20, U.S. helicopters picked up Maduro and his wife from the scene and left Venezuelan airspace. Shortly after, the pair was transferred to the U.S. warship USS Iwo Jima.

On the other hand, it was alleged that one of the U.S. helicopters was hit during the operation. General Caine, who participated in the operation, stated, 'The capture team landed at Maduro's compound and acted with speed, precision, and discipline.'
