In a fire that broke out for reasons yet to be determined around 09:00 in the morning at a perfume filling facility located in the Mimar Sinan neighborhood of Kocaeli's Dilovası district, 6 workers, including 2 child laborers, lost their lives, and 7 people were injured.

Following the disaster, scandalous details emerged. It was learned that 15 people were employed at the facility without social security and that the facility had been reported to CİMER in 2024. The Ministry of Labor and Social Security announced that 7 people, including the Provincial Director of the Social Security Institution (SGK), have been suspended following the tragedy.

It was revealed that after the incident, abusive and insulting posts targeting the citizens who died in the fire were made on a Telegram channel named "Kocaeli İnfaz Yayın".

It was determined that individuals using the usernames D.Y.A. and B.T. shared photos of the deceased while writing insulting messages and responded to the relatives of the victims who reacted to them with the same tone.

It was learned that the individuals' statements targeting the state and martyrs were also among the posts that drew backlash.
