Where are foreign investors buying property in Turkey? 2 cities stand out
Housing sales to foreigners decreased by 37.2 percent in the January-October 2023 period compared to the same period last year, falling to 19,212. The provinces most preferred by foreigners in Turkey were Antalya and Istanbul.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) published its housing sales statistics for October through an announcement on its official web portal.
Across Turkey, 165,138 housing units were sold in October. Housing sales increased by 11.9 percent between January and October.
Housing sales to foreigners in the January-October period decreased by 37.2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 19,212.
The provinces where foreigners purchased the most housing in the first 10 months of the year are as follows:
