Who was in the house on the day of Narin Güran's murder? The crime was committed while 3 children were playing
A new detail has emerged in the Narin Güran murder case. Narrowed HTS records and cell tower signal overlaps have revealed that 3 other children were present in the house on the day of the murder and that the crime was committed while they were playing. The murder is still being investigated amid unresolved questions.
In the investigation into the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in the village of Tavşantepe in Diyarbakır and whose body was found in a sack in a creek bed near the village on September 8, a striking detail has emerged regarding the narrowed HTS records and base station overlaps prepared by a 3-person expert committee appointed by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
According to this report, narrowed HTS records indicate that on the day and at the time of the murder, Narin’s mother Yüksel, her brother Enes, her uncle Salim Güran, and the confessor Nevzat Bahtiyar, who hid the young girl in the creek, were together in Narin’s house and were moving around the vicinity of the house after being together.
THERE WERE 3 OTHER CHILDREN IN THE HOUSE PLAYING GAMES ON THEIR PHONES
According to the report in Sözcü, these signal data, which were determined as point locations, revealed that not only these 4 people were in Narin’s house, but that 3 children were also present; one of them was Narin’s brother Eren, and the other two were their cousins Maide and Zelal Kaya.
It was also determined that these three children were in the house at the time the murder was committed, and that the three of them were playing games in a room on their phones via an internet connection using the Smart Player application. This finding has been included in the case file.
The fact that 3 children were in the house while the murder took place has raised questions about whether Narin was killed inside the house or in the barn immediately adjacent to the house. Questions such as whether she was killed in the barn, brought into the house, wrapped in a blanket, and then handed over to Nevzat Bahtiyar still await answers.
While the narrowed HTS records indicate that the mother, uncle, brother, and Nevzat were together in the house at the time of the murder, Nevzat Bahtiyar’s statements also corroborate this expert report.
IN HIS STATEMENT TO THE PEDAGOG: HE HAD SAID SHE WENT TO THE MOSQUE AND DID NOT RETURN HOME
In his statement, Bahtiyar had said, “Salim called me to his brother Arif’s house. When I went inside, the doors of all rooms except one were closed. I didn’t see anyone in the house. Salim called me into the room with the open door. Narin was lying on the floor and a foam-like liquid was coming from her mouth. He told me he had killed Narin and asked me to help him hide the body. Then he wrapped the girl in a blanket he brought and handed her to me. I took her from the house, went outside, and after placing the girl in a sack near the barn, I took her and hid her in the creek as I intended.”
Narin’s younger brother Eren, who was determined to be in the house according to the narrowed HTS records, had stated in his testimony taken in the presence of a pedagogue that Narin had gone to the mosque and then did not return home.
