Will an autonomy demand come from İmralı? Öcalan is expected to call on the organization's leadership

After completing its contacts with political parties, the DEM Party's İmralı delegation visited former HDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş in the prison where he is being held on Saturday.

The meeting with the delegation, consisting of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Pervin Buldan, and Ahmet Türk, was widely discussed by the public.

DEMİRTAŞ SUPPORTED THE NEW PROCESS

In a statement made on his social media account after the meeting, Selahattin Demirtaş stated that he fully supports the process.

Using the phrase, "I am unhesitatingly on the side of the process," Demirtaş thanked the three individuals who were part of the İmralı delegation.

WHAT WILL BE ÖCALAN'S NEXT STEP?

It was stated that the delegation would go to İmralı Island again this week to meet with the leader of the PKK terrorist organization, Abdullah Öcalan.

According to claims in the Türkiye newspaper, Öcalan is expected to make more concrete statements following the second or third visit.

WILL HE DEMAND AUTONOMY?

In the same report, it was claimed that Öcalan might issue a call to the organization's leadership, declaring that the demand for autonomy has been abandoned and requesting that the organization's leadership leave Syria.

The DEM Party delegation made its first visit to İmralı Island on December 28.
