Gambling raid in the first seconds of the new year: '3-2-1 bingo, yes gentlemen, police, happy new year'
In an operation conducted on a business where gambling was taking place during the first seconds of the new year, police issued a total of 295 thousand 904 TL in fines to 32 people. One of the officers conducting the operation said, '3-2-1 bingo. Yes gentlemen, police, happy new year, everyone sit back down.' Five business owners were taken into custody.
Teams from the Diyarbakır Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch, Morality Bureau, raided a business where gambling was being conducted in the first minutes of the new year. Those gambling tried to flee upon noticing the police raid. However, one of the officers took control of the situation by saying, "3-2-1 bingo, yes gentlemen, police, happy new year, everyone sit back down."
While the moment of the operation was captured on camera, the sign on the wall of the business reading 'Crazy Nights Bar-Welcome' drew attention. As a result of the teams' successful operation, a total of 295 thousand 904 TL in fines was issued to 32 people who were gambling. Additionally, 5 people who were business owners were taken into custody.
