Gelibolu's AKP mayor puts former mayor's official vehicle up for sale

Ali Kamil Soyuak, the AKP candidate who won the Gelibolu district of Çanakkale in the March 31 local elections by receiving 39.6 percent of the votes, has put the former mayor's official vehicle up for sale on an online classifieds site.

Soyuak, who took over the municipality from CHP's Mustafa Özacar, valued the official vehicle at 3 million 300 thousand TL.

The statements included by the AKP's Soyuak in the description section of the official vehicle, which he listed on the site with the title "Clean official vehicle from a doctor to a patient," also drew attention.

The description includes the following statements:

- The front end needs maintenance because the roads in Gelibolu are in poor condition.

- We don't know if anyone smoked inside; you'd have to ask the former mayor.

- The former mayor was distant from the public; the mileage was likely accumulated on long trips.

- The windows are tinted; the former mayor didn't like to make eye contact with citizens.

- For sale urgently due to cash needs; the municipality has a lot of debt.

- It is a well-known and recognized vehicle in the market. You can draw all the attention to yourself.

- You can show it to any mechanic you want; the tradesmen at the Gelibolu Small Industrial Site already know the car well.

- We couldn't find the spare key; you'd have to ask the former mayor.

- It has a 25,000 TL insurance claim record. The left fender has been replaced.

- Negotiation is possible at the vehicle.

- Trade-ins are only accepted for Mobile Catering Vehicles that will serve the public.
