Gendarmerie conducts ISIS operation in 30 provinces: 119 suspects in custody

The Ministry of Interior announced that 119 suspects were taken into custody during operations conducted by gendarmerie teams against ISIS in 30 provinces.

In the statement released by the Ministry, it was noted: "119 suspects were apprehended in operations conducted by our Gendarmerie against the DAESH Terrorist Organization in 30 provinces. It was determined that the suspects apprehended in the operations carried out in 30 provinces by Provincial Gendarmerie Commands, under the coordination of the Gendarmerie General Command's Counter-Terrorism Department and Public Prosecutor's Offices, were engaged in spreading propaganda for the terrorist organization via social media accounts, were members of the DAESH terrorist organization, and provided financial support to the organization through individuals affiliated with the terrorist organization and so-called aid organizations. Investigations have been initiated by our prosecutor's offices regarding these individuals."
