Girl injured by falling carpet from 6th floor taken to hospital
In the Fatih neighborhood of Samsun's İlkadım district, 17-year-old Elanur Gümüş, who was on her way to the market to buy bread, was injured after a carpet fell from a 6th-floor balcony and struck her. The young girl was taken to Gazi State Hospital by ambulance, where her treatment has begun.
According to the information obtained, Elanur Gümüş, who works at her family's bakery in the Fatih neighborhood of Samsun's İlkadım district, was injured while on her way to the market to buy bread when a carpet fell from a balcony on the 6th floor of a 7-story apartment building. Witnesses to the incident stated that the carpet struck the young girl on the neck.

"SHE WAVED FOR ME TO COME"
The injured girl's mother, Esma Gümüş, stated, "My daughter was going to the market to buy bread. I saw her lying on the ground and she waved for me to come. We called an ambulance and took her to the hospital." While the police have launched an investigation into the incident, Elanur Gümüş's health condition continues to be monitored at the hospital.
