The Istanbul Governor's Office has issued a warning against heavy rainfall expected to affect Istanbul on Monday morning.
The following statement was made on the Governor's Office's X social media account:
"According to the assessments of the General Directorate of Meteorology, in the latest evaluations, the showers and thunderstorms expected to be seen in our region starting from the early hours of tomorrow morning are expected to be locally heavy (21-50 kg/m2) in Istanbul, Tekirdağ, Kocaeli, Sakarya, and Yalova. It is necessary to be careful and take precautions against negative consequences such as floods, water inundation, lightning, and disruptions in transportation."
