The Istanbul Governor's Office has informed the public regarding the tanker that ran aground off the coast of Zeytinburnu.

The statement noted, "According to information received from the Coast Guard Command Center, the 79-meter-long ship named Kadrıye Ana, which contained 600 tons of oil, ran aground in the Zeytinburnu coastal area at 01:07 at night. The 11 crew members on board were rescued through efforts carried out by the Coast Guard Command, Coastal Safety, Fire Department, and AFAD teams, and there were no deaths or injuries in the incident.

Initial investigations have determined that no environmental pollution or fuel leakage occurred due to the incident, and favorable weather conditions are being awaited to begin salvage operations for the ship," the statement read.
