Hailstorm turns Erzurum white
Due to the heavy rain and hail in Erzurum, the higher parts of the city turned white in the middle of summer.
In the village of Başkurtdere in Erzurum's Aziziye district, heavy rainfall caused streams to overflow, while a hailstorm covered everything in white.
Residents of Başkurtdere village, located 87 kilometers from the city center, could not hide their astonishment when they saw the hazelnut-sized hailstones. Citizens recorded these moments with their mobile phones.
