HAMAS issues sharp response to Israel's attack on Iran: 'This attack will set the entire region on fire'

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS) has reacted sharply to Israel's multi-point airstrikes against Iran. Describing the attack as a "dangerous crime," HAMAS stated that this move is part of the Israeli government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's efforts to drag the region into a large-scale conflict.

In a statement released by HAMAS, it was noted: "The comprehensive attack carried out by the occupying Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran this morning is an extremely dangerous and calculated crime. Netanyahu and his cabinet are pushing the Middle East to the brink of an abyss to serve their ideological delusions."

'IRAN IS BEING TARGETED FOR SUPPORTING THE RESISTANCE'

The statement conveyed a message of full solidarity with Iran and offered condolences for the high-ranking military officials and nuclear scientists who lost their lives in the attacks. HAMAS stated, "Today, Iran is paying a heavy price for its principled support for the Palestinian people and the resistance."

HAMAS extended its condolences to the Iranian people for the loss of Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, Revolutionary Guards Commander Hossein Salami, and numerous scientists.

'IT MUST BE STOPPED WITH A JOINT STANCE'

In its statement, HAMAS also called upon the Islamic world, assessing that, "The living forces of the Ummah must unite and display a coordinated stance in the face of this attack. The Zionist regime is the common enemy of the Ummah, and struggling against it is the only way to protect our peoples from the crimes and expansionist policies of this regime."
