He declared himself the 'Messiah'; teams showed up at his door after what he wrote on his roof

M.D. (61), who lives on Bağlar Street in the Bayır neighborhood of Karabük, wrote phrases such as "Prophet," "66," "Messiah," "Jesus," and "35" on the roof of his house and the surrounding fences. Upon reports from citizens who noticed the writings, police and municipal teams were dispatched to the area.

The teams spoke with the homeowner and requested that the writings be removed. When M.D. reacted to this, the phrases in question were covered with paint and erased by the teams.

Claiming that he had received a divine revelation, M.D. said that he believes his family has been followed since an incident he alleged occurred in the past in the İspir district of Erzurum. Stating that he has no connection to well-known public figures, M.D. claimed that some people in the vicinity support him.

Expressing that he is delivering a message to people, M.D. argued that his call for "jihad" does not involve violence and that it is a struggle conducted with words and the pen. Stating that he has believed his family's circle has been under siege since he was young, M.D. claimed that his assertion of being the Messiah became certain about 5-8 years ago.

Saying that different faith groups are "waiting for the Messiah Jesus," M.D. claimed that he is that person.

An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
