He gave a date for the opening process: Bahçeli's remarks highlighting the terrorist organization PKK burning weapons
MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli has given a date for the new opening process of which he is the architect. Stating that he expects the work to be completed by the end of the year, Bahçeli argued that burying weapons could mean they might be dug up and used again, but burning them carries the meaning of "we will never touch weapons again."
Gülseven Media Chairman of the Board Necat Gülseven and Tv100 Editor-in-Chief Deniz Gürel visited Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli.
During the meeting, Bahçeli made evaluations regarding the new opening process, referred to as a Terror-Free Turkey.
Stating that they attach importance to the opening commission established in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), Bahçeli argued that it is important for all political parties to support the efforts.
"BURNING WEAPONS IS A MORE MEANINGFUL STANCE"
Bahçeli argued that "the terrorist organization PKK founder Abdullah Öcalan acting in full compliance with the call for dissolution has paved the way for positive developments, and that burning the weapons instead of burying them is also a meaningful stance."
Claiming that burying weapons could mean they might be dug up and used again, but burning them carries the meaning of "we will never touch weapons again," Bahçeli said that citizens in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions should also embrace the process being carried out to end terrorism.
Bahçeli stated that he expects the work related to the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process to be completed by the end of the year.
