Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan cast his vote for the March 31 Local Administration General Elections in the Yenimahalle district of Ankara.

Fidan arrived at Mustafa Kemal Anatolian High School and cast his vote at ballot box number 1230.

Shaking hands with the poll workers, Fidan handed his identification to the officials for the necessary verification.

After completing the process of stamping his ballots in the voting booth, Fidan placed the envelope in the ballot box, saying, "May it be auspicious." He then returned the stamp, signed the register, and wished the poll workers well.

The fact that Fidan, the Foreign Minister and former head of the National Intelligence Organization, had toured shops and campaigned for votes for AKP's Ankara Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate Turgut Altınok had been a subject of criticism.
