Seher Kındaç, who lived in Bursa, was killed by her husband Turgay Kındaç, whom she was in the process of divorcing. While fleeing, the suspect had sent a message to his sister-in-law saying, 'I killed my wife.' The suspect was apprehended by teams from the Bursa Public Security Branch Office, Homicide Bureau. In his initial statement, the suspect cited jealousy as the reason for the murder.

According to Kındaç's statement, jealousy arose between them after his wife took a photo with someone named Metehan at a morale-boosting event organized by the factory on the last day of 2023 and shared it on social media. This jealousy had been ongoing for about a month. An argument broke out between the couple on the morning of the murder. According to his statement, the suspect Kındaç first hit his wife on the head with a rolling pin. He later stated that he did not remember what he used to strangle his wife.
