In the investigation conducted to shed light on the Gülistan Doku case in Tunceli, it has emerged that a special team was established under the instructions of former Governor Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu and that significant documents were collected.
New details are emerging in the investigation regarding the disappearance of Gülistan Doku, which has been on the agenda in Tunceli for a long time. It has been revealed that former Governor Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu, who was reassigned to the central government after refusing to permit a commemoration event by the terrorist organization PKK in the city during his tenure, established a special team in coordination with police units between 2023 and 2024 to solve the Gülistan Doku case. This team transmitted the documents, information, and tips it collected directly to the Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, while maintaining close cooperation with judicial authorities throughout the work conducted.
The special team established by the Governor's Office contributed to the evidence-gathering process by evaluating every tip received in detail. It was stated that the investigation deepened further as documents and information were delivered to judicial authorities in a short time. It is alleged that field teams transferred information and findings directly, and that the materials obtained are of such importance that they could influence the process of the case.
Governor Tekbıyıkoğlu had been reassigned to the central government because he did not permit a commemoration to be held in the city for the so-called founders of the terrorist organization PKK.
On the other hand, it is known that another former governor, Tuncay Sonel, was previously detained in Elazığ and subsequently suspended from duty regarding allegations of "tampering with evidence" initiated within the scope of the Gülistan Doku case. In the judicial part of the investigation, it was learned that along with Cemile Yücer, the mother of Gülistan Doku's boyfriend Zeinal A., Celal Altaş, Nurşen Arıkan, and Ferhat Hanedan Güven were also arrested and sent to prison following their proceedings at the prosecutor's office.
