In Burdur, a suspect who posed as a police officer/prosecutor vanished with millions of liras in cash and jewelry. The suspect, who was caught while traveling from Antalya to Adana, was arrested and sent to prison.
On August 29, an individual who defrauded two people in Burdur by posing as a police officer/prosecutor had vanished following the heist.
The individual, who obtained 148 grams of gold bracelets, 10 quarter gold coins, 50 thousand TL in cash from the two people he defrauded, and had 2 million TL transferred to a bank account number, was arrested and sent to prison.
Police teams, taking action regarding the qualified fraud incident, identified the suspect as a result of their efforts. Learning that the individual would be traveling from Antalya to Adana, the teams coordinated an operation with the Manavgat District Police Department, apprehended him in the Manavgat district, and took him into custody.
The individual, who was referred to the courthouse, was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
