It has been reported that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who has been at the center of criticism due to his statements regarding the lifting of parliamentary immunity, will hold a meeting with former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş. Information regarding the visit was shared by Necdet Saraç, one of the figures close to Kılıçdaroğlu.

SARAÇ ANNOUNCES EDİRNE PRISON VISIT

Speaking on a Habertürk broadcast, Saraç stated that Kılıçdaroğlu would go to Edirne Prison in the coming days and said the following:

"In the coming days, Mr. Kemal will visit Mr. Selahattin Demirtaş at Edirne Prison. You may continue to laugh. We have seen those who laughed at Mr. Kemal in the past. I think one should be careful. We will all listen to Mr. Kemal's statement following the Selahattin Demirtaş visit together."

RESPONSES ON IMMUNITY HAD SPARKED DEBATE

During a program he attended on Sözcü TV, Kılıçdaroğlu answered questions regarding the decision taken in the past to lift parliamentary immunity. Upon being reminded, "You know that when you did this for the last time, Selahattin Demirtaş was arrested," Kılıçdaroğlu replied, "There was already a majority in Mr. Selahattin's case, and there were terrorism charges filed against him."

When asked during the program, "You voted in favor of lifting all immunities," Kılıçdaroğlu responded, "Yes, we did," and when asked, "Do you regret it?" he answered, "No."
