He killed his son for saying, 'Drugs got a price hike, give me 100 TL more'

It was learned that the father who killed his son in Adana was arrested, and in his statement, he said that his son had demanded drug money, was dissatisfied with the 200 liras he was given, and that he killed him after the son said, "drugs got a price hike, give me 100 TL more," adding that his son had first attacked him with a meat cleaver, that he was very remorseful, and that he immediately called 112.

The incident occurred on March 11 in the Ziyapaşa Neighborhood of the Seyhan district. According to the allegations, Hazım Evren (38) demanded drug money from his father Tamer Evren (66). A dispute subsequently broke out between the father and son.

The dispute quickly escalated into a fight. During the fight, the father, Tamer Evren, shot his son in the back with a shotgun in the garden of their home.

SURRENDERED WITH THE WEAPON

After shooting his son, Tamer Evren called 112 to report himself, stating that he had killed his son. Health and police teams were dispatched to the address. The medical teams arriving at the scene determined that Hazım Evren had lost his life. Tamer Evren waited at the house and surrendered to the police who arrived, along with the weapon used in the crime.

"HE ATTACKED ME WITH A CLEAVER"

In his statement at the police station, Tamer Evren, who stated that his son had demanded drug money, said, "I gave him 200 TL. He said drugs had a price hike and demanded 100 TL more. When I said, 'I can't give it, we have a debt to the grocery store,' he attacked me with a meat cleaver. I had to defend myself. I am very sorry for killing my child."

Following his statement at the police station, Tamer Evren was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the court.
