He killed his wife, who was in the process of divorcing him, and then committed suicide

The incident occurred in the Etyemez neighborhood of Alaçam district. According to the information obtained, Cengiz Altınel met with his wife, Pınar Altınel, who had started working in the restaurant section of a gas station in the Etyemez neighborhood of Alaçam two days ago, to talk. During the meeting at the restaurant, an argument broke out between the couple for a reason yet to be determined.

As the argument escalated, Cengiz Altınel shot his wife with a handgun he had brought with him. He then turned the weapon on himself and committed suicide.

Upon the notification of those nearby who heard the gunshots, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. In the examination conducted by the teams, it was determined that the couple had lost their lives at the scene.

While a detailed investigation was carried out at the restaurant by the prosecutor's office and crime scene investigation teams, an investigation into the incident has been launched.
