He lost his life for the sake of love
The body of a man who went missing after jumping into the sea to save his girlfriend in Istanbul has been found 3 months later.
Fishermen who saw a motionless person in the water off the coast of Arnavutköy Pier reported the situation to the police.
Upon the notification, teams arrived at the scene and recovered the body from the water. Following the work of crime scene investigation teams under the supervision of a prosecutor, it was determined that the body belonged to Iranian national Jaber Sabokbar.
The recovered body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue. It was learned that Sabokbar had jumped into the sea on September 26 to save his girlfriend, Sogand T.G., who had fallen into the water at the Bebek coast, and had subsequently disappeared. It was stated that his girlfriend was rescued by citizens in the area.
