He revealed the codes regarding the Imralı bargaining between the DEM Party and the People's Alliance: Fatih Portakal said it is 'far from credible'

Following Bahçeli's 'Öcalan' remarks and the DEM's 'Imralı' visit, the question of whether bargaining would take place has become a topic of political debate. Sözcü TV main news anchor Fatih Portakal, stating that the statements from the ruling wing suggest this process should proceed with 'unconditional support,' argued that these claims do not reflect reality and that bargaining is inevitable.

Evaluating this process, which is referred to as a 'new paradigm,' Portakal explained the plans.

Commenting on how the new "solution process" will take shape and whether there will be bargaining between the parties, Portakal recalled Bahçeli's statements that "There is no solution, nor is there a process. If you are going to provide support, you will do it voluntarily," and stated that such rhetoric is far from credible.

Saying "It is very clear that there will be bargaining," Fatih Portakal stated that a tough negotiation regarding the process will begin and that the issues will gradually emerge.

Portakal said the following:

"Because the topics of the bargaining are slowly starting to emerge. A tough bargaining process will begin.

After completing all the visits, we will make a comprehensive statement as a delegation. For now, we are not entering the question-and-answer part. We hope that we will reach an understandable process.

It is impossible for there to be no bargaining. Words like “it is time to provide unconditional support” are completely groundless. It means you are being asked to provide support voluntarily, or else we will sideline you.

The words “either they will bury their weapons or those holding the weapons will be buried” are also empty talk. In fact, there is a serious bargaining going on.

However, the government thinks that the process might not progress while writing this scenario. It will most likely be that way, because it was handled incorrectly from the beginning.

They are setting out with a button fastened incorrectly. They cannot continue like this.

On the DEM side, there is an approach where small gains will be seen as sufficient. They say, “We cannot get all our demands, but whatever we gain is a profit,” and they might be right about that.

In the coming days, issues such as a general amnesty, political amnesty, and placing Öcalan under house arrest may come to the agenda. However, the process is groundless and not transparent, so it is impossible for it to progress. If something is to be done, it must be honest and open, and it must proceed under the control of the TBMM.

Ahmet Türk had a statement. He told İsmail Saymaz: “Today, there is a Kurdish population of 50 million in the Middle East and their faces are turned toward Turkey. They see themselves as a part of Turkey. This needs to be made permanent.”
