The parties separated, but the hostility between them did not end. Disturbed by this situation, Ömer B. first called Remzi K.'s son. However, when he could not reach him, he called Remzi K. to discuss the matter and invited him to a friend's office.

When Remzi K. responded harshly, Ömer B. stood up and took the gun the man had placed on the table. Approaching the man, Ömer B. pointed the gun at the floor and, after saying "Uncle, does this work?", opened fire. Continuing to shoot, Ömer B. struck Remzi K. in the right leg. Following the intervention of his friend after the incident, Ömer B. left the man there and departed the office. Remzi K., who fainted for a while, went to a private hospital in Maslak by his own means and was taken under treatment. Remzi K., who underwent surgery, was discharged after his treatment and filed a complaint with the police. Taking action after Remzi K.'s statement, the police caught and detained the attacker, Ömer B. After his statement was taken at the police station and judicial proceedings were completed, Ömer B. was arrested for "intentional injury" and sent to prison. It was learned that in his statement, the individual said he wanted to scare him and that he was remorseful.
