He strangled his mother with a bag and shot his twin: Verdict in Sivas family massacre
The suspect who strangled his mother with a bag and shot his twin brother to death in Sivas has been arrested.
A verdict has been reached regarding the suspect who strangled his mother with a bag and shot his twin brother to death in Sivas, citing a financial dispute as the reason.
Following the incident that took place over the weekend, H.K. (46), who attempted suicide by taking medication, was referred to the courthouse after his treatment at the Sivas Cumhuriyet University (SCÜ) Health Services Application and Research Hospital.
H.K. was arrested by the duty magistrate.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
On Saturday, December 14, teams entered the ground-floor apartment of a 4-story building on Şehzade Street in the Kılavuz neighborhood after relatives reported they could not reach Ş.K. (67) and her son H.K. (46), and discovered the lifeless bodies of the mother and son.
Investigations determined that the mother, Ş.K., had been strangled with a bag placed over her head in the kitchen, and her son H.K., a pharmacy technician, had been shot in the head with a handgun in the hallway of the house.
The Provincial Police Department's Homicide Bureau teams, which launched a wide-ranging investigation following the incident, had detained H.K. (46), the son of Ş.K., as the murder suspect.
It was determined that the suspect had attempted suicide by taking medication before being caught by the police and had been placed under treatment.
It was learned that in his initial statement to the police, H.K. said there was a financial dispute between him, his mother, and his twin brother, and that he committed the murders for this reason.
Meanwhile, the mother and son were laid to rest in the village of Celaldamı in the İmranlı district.
