In Istanbul's Beyoğlu district, a cliché from a comedy movie became reality when a man grabbed a document and swallowed it to destroy it.

According to the report, which also aired on ShowTV, a real estate dispute worth 523,000 TL between a businessperson and the Üstün family brought the parties to a business center in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district. An unexpected incident occurred while a photocopy of the promissory note was being made.

The office employee placed the note into the photocopier. As the lawyer was taking the original half-million lira note out of the photocopier, the other party made a move.

The man, who suddenly snatched the note from the lawyer's hand, crumpled it up, put it in his mouth, and swallowed it. While the lawyer struggled to get it back, a scuffle broke out inside the shop. Those moments, which left everyone in shock, were captured on camera.

The lawyer went to the police station and filed a complaint. A lawsuit was filed against the Üstün family on charges of 'destroying an official document'.
