Ahmet Çolak, who was appointed as the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Çaycuma district in Zonguldak, has requested to be relieved of his duties.
Çolak, who was appointed to Çaycuma by the Decree of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors while serving as a prosecutor at the Istanbul Anatolian Courthouse, applied to the Council of Judges and Prosecutors, stating that he wished to leave his post due to family reasons.
HE HAD TAKEN PART IN IMPORTANT CASES IN ISTANBUL
Çolak had served in significant cases in Istanbul. These cases included the investigation conducted against 16 suspects, including the famous businessperson Dilan Polat and her husband Engin Polat, on charges of money laundering, and the investigation launched against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu on the charge of "insulting" (Ahmak).

Following Çolak's application, if the Council of Judges and Prosecutors accepts his petition of excuse, a new appointment is expected to be made to the Çaycuma Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
