Heart of British woman who died in Turkey is missing! Turhan Çömez reacts to ministries: 'The ministry must clarify the matter'
The body of British citizen Beth Martin, who passed away while on vacation in Turkey, has been sent back to her home country. However, an autopsy in the UK revealed that her heart was missing. While her family alleges that the Turkish hospital removed the heart without permission, no satisfactory explanation has been provided by official authorities. As the incident causes a major stir in both the UK and Turkey, IYI Party member Turhan Çömez has shared a statement on the matter.
Beth Martin, a 28-year-old mother of two living in the Portsmouth city of England, passed away during a vacation in Turkey with her family. However, the young woman's tragic death became the subject of another scandal after her body was sent back to England. An autopsy performed in England revealed that Beth Martin's heart was missing. The family has initiated legal action, alleging that the hospital in Turkey removed the heart without any authorization.
FELL ILL ON THE FIRST DAY OF VACATION
Beth Martin and her family arrived in Turkey for a vacation on April 27. However, falling ill at the end of the very first day, Beth was rushed by ambulance to the emergency department of Pendik Training and Research Hospital the following day. According to the statement by her husband Luke Martin, Beth was admitted to a hospital with very poor conditions and placed in the intensive care unit. The family was not allowed to see the patient.

PASSED AWAY ONE DAY LATER
According to a report by the Daily Mirror, the young mother lost her life one day after being admitted to the hospital on April 28. While her family felt deep suspicion due to the rapid nature of Beth's death, the real shock occurred when the body reached England.
In a second autopsy performed in England, it was determined that Beth Martin's heart was missing. The family claims that the Turkish hospital removed the heart without any permission or notification. In a fundraising campaign conducted on behalf of the family, it was stated, “Her body was interfered with and her heart was removed. Neither an explanation nor permission was given.”

In a post on social media, Beth's husband Luke Martin described the trauma they experienced with the words, “We went on vacation as a family two weeks ago, but only three of us returned. I had to tell my children that their mother would not be coming back. This has shattered me.”

SILENCE FROM OFFICIAL INSTITUTIONS
It has been learned that a negligence investigation has been launched regarding the hospital where the young woman received treatment. However, regarding Pendik Training and Research Hospital, where the incident took place, the Ministry of Health issued a statement saying, “There is no question of any surgery; the body was sent to the Council of Forensic Medicine.”

IYI Party member Turhan Çömez, in a statement on his social media account, called on the Ministry of Justice, stating, “Where is the young woman's heart? The Ministry of Justice must clarify the matter. Hakan Fidan, on the other hand, is silent,” he said.

An autopsy is performed, and after judicial procedures, her body is sent to her country.
A second autopsy is performed in the United Kingdom, but it turns out that the young woman's heart is missing. The Ministry of Health says in its statement; "there is no question of any surgery, the body was sent from our hospital to the Council of Forensic Medicine." The Ministry of Justice must clarify the matter; where is the young woman's heart?
Hakan Fidan, on the other hand, is silent."
