Heavy rainfall warning from the Istanbul Governor's Office
The Istanbul Governor's Office has issued a warning regarding expected heavy rainfall across the city tomorrow, urging citizens to be cautious and take necessary precautions against potential negative impacts.
In a statement issued by the Istanbul Governor's Office, based on assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology, it was reported that rainfall is expected to be locally heavy and very heavy (21-75 mm) starting from tomorrow morning in Istanbul, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Yalova, and the eastern parts of Tekirdağ.
The statement emphasized the need to be cautious and take precautions against potential negative impacts such as flash floods, inundation, landslides, lightning strikes, disruptions to transportation, and strong winds during rainfall due to the heavy precipitation.
