General Directorate of Meteorology According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the northern, inner, and eastern parts of the country are expected to be partly to mostly cloudy, with intermittent precipitation in the coastal areas of the Central Black Sea, the Eastern Black Sea, the northern parts of Eastern Anatolia, and the vicinity of Sinop and Tokat, while other areas are expected to be mostly clear. 

The precipitation is generally expected to be in the form of rain and showers, and sleet and snow in the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the northern parts of Eastern Anatolia. Precipitation is expected to be strong in the vicinity of Trabzon, Bayburt, and Kars, and very strong and severe in the vicinity of Rize, Artvin, and Ardahan. Icing and frost are expected in the inner and eastern parts during the morning and night hours, along with local fog and mist. There is a risk of avalanches in the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the northern and eastern parts of Eastern Anatolia.

Precipitation is expected to be in the form of rain in coastal areas and around Tokat, and as sleet and snow in the interior parts of the Eastern Black Sea. Precipitation is expected to be strong in the vicinity of Trabzon and Bayburt, and very strong and severe in the vicinity of Rize and Artvin. The wind is expected to blow from westerly directions in the Eastern Black Sea, occasionally reaching storm force (40-80 km/h). Icing and frost are expected in the interior, along with mist and fog. There is a risk of avalanches on the steep slopes of the mountainous interior of the eastern part of the region, which are covered with snow.
