Here is the first case involving the DSS pest control company: 1 child has died

A house was sprayed on April 18.

On April 19, a child began vomiting. On April 20, that child died.

In its 6-page opinion, the Council of Forensic Medicine clearly stated the cause of this death. 

The ATK report stated, "There is no medical evidence that the child's death was due to a traumatic cause. Death occurred as a result of insecticide poisoning." 

The child who lost his life was 3-year-old Karan Yazıcı.

On April 18, 2025, the family's neighbor called the pest control company named DSS to their home. The goal was to get rid of the insects in the house. The mother asked the workers, "Will the pesticide you use harm the neighbors' homes and children?" The answer she received was, "No, it will not." 

Allegedly, the contents of the pesticide used were not disclosed. It was not clearly stated how long the house needed to be ventilated. It was not clearly specified whether it was risky for neighbors to stay in their homes, but there was a shared ventilation system. The spraying was done, the team left, and the family and neighbors remained in their homes. Karan inhaled the pesticide through the shared ventilation system leading to his room.

On the night of April 19, Karan began to vomit. This was followed by fatigue, weakness, constant restlessness, and persistent vomiting. At first, the family thought it was a simple illness. But it was not.

On the morning of April 20, the child was taken to the Private Şişli Memorial Hospital. Treatment was initiated, and an IV drip was administered. However, the situation worsened after a while. Karan's heart stopped. Attempts to resuscitate him lasted for approximately two and a half hours. They were unsuccessful.

Examinations conducted at the Council of Forensic Medicine found no signs of assault, fractures, trauma, falls, or violence on the body. In other words, there was no external impact or physical intervention.

The most striking result emerged in the report from the Chemistry Specialization Department. In Karan's blood, Aluminum was found at 2631 ng/ml

and Zinc at 9664 ng/ml. These levels were far above the poisoning thresholds for a child.

No alcohol, drugs, medical medication, toxic gas, arsenic, or cyanide were found in the blood. The only thing present was the effect of a toxic substance.

Tests conducted ruled out food poisoning, salmonella, E. coli, norovirus, rotavirus, Covid, and all other infectious agents. This death did not occur as a result of an illness, infection, or food poisoning, but as a result of chemical poisoning.

The report was approved with the e-signatures of a total of nine academics, including specialists in forensic medicine, pediatric infectious diseases, pathology, anesthesiology, neurosurgery, cardiology, and internal medicine.

The report includes the following statement. 

"The child's death occurred as a result of insecticide poisoning."

This incident became the first recorded case of a child's death following an application by the DSS pest control company.

SAME COMPANY, ANOTHER FAMILY, AGAIN SUSPICION OF POISONING

Another striking detail is that the name of the pest control company, DSS, had previously entered the case file regarding the death of the Böcek family.

It was recorded in the case file that the room where the Böcek family stayed—who were guests at a hotel in Fatih and lost four members—had also been treated by the same company, DSS, prior to their deaths.

In that incident, the father, mother, and two children lost their lives. The documents and certificates of the DSS company have been placed under scrutiny.

While the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry found no evidence to explain the poisoning during its examination of food products, suspicion has now shifted to the pest control substances.

The same company,

The same method,

Shared ventilation,

The same result...

One in a hotel room, the other in a family home...

In two separate places, in two separate families, multiple people...

And the only detail common to both files.
