Hezbollah: The West's claims of a two-state solution are nothing but a smokescreen

Hezbollah: The West's claims of a two-state solution are nothing but a smokescreen

According to the statement from Hezbollah, Qassem expressed that Israel has maintained its presence in the Middle East since the beginning of the 20th century through murders and massacres.

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Qassem stated the following:

"Resistance is a legitimate right and must exist; there is a right to struggle, to confront, and to liberate, otherwise the land cannot be reclaimed. Let the US and Israel know that they will bear the political and moral consequences of everything happening right now. The claims of Western countries that they are advocates of a two-state solution serve no purpose other than to deceive."

Stating that "the Al-Aqsa Flood is a heroic act of resistance that has achieved great success, that Israel suffered its greatest defeat in the Al-Aqsa Flood, and that it must stop if it does not want further defeats," Qassem noted that "the resistance will continue until Israel is destroyed," adding, "For Hezbollah, resistance is part of the project to topple Israel. The compass is Palestine and Jerusalem."

Noting that things could escalate further with more Israeli intervention, Qassem expressed his condolences to those who lost their lives in Israeli attacks and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

ISRAEL-PALESTINE CONFLICT

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, launched a comprehensive attack on Israel on the morning of October 7, dubbed the "Al-Aqsa Flood."

While thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza toward Israel, Palestinian armed groups raided and seized the Beit Hanoun-Erez Border Crossing on the Gaza-Israel border.

Armed groups then entered settlements inside Israel from there, and the Israeli army launched an attack on the Gaza Strip with dozens of fighter jets.

It was reported that 1,400 Israelis, 306 of whom were soldiers, were killed and 4,834 Israelis were injured in the attacks launched from Gaza.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that 4,385 people, including 1,756 children, had been killed and more than 13,000 people had been injured in Israel's attacks on Gaza.

It was stated that 84 Palestinians had been killed in attacks by Israeli forces and Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank.

16 journalists lost their lives in Israeli attacks. In the clashes that began on the Israel-Lebanon border on October 8 between the Israeli army and Hezbollah, 12 Hezbollah members and 3 civilians, one of whom was a journalist, lost their lives. In attacks carried out from the Lebanese side, 3 Israeli soldiers and one Israeli civilian also lost their lives.
