High-speed train connecting 3 cities is coming: Travel time will be 2 hours
With the completion of the Bursa-Osmaneli high-speed train line, the connection between three major cities will be strengthened, and travel time will be significantly reduced with the new route.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the work carried out within the scope of the Bandırma-Bursa-Yenişehir-Osmaneli High-Speed Train Project will reach its conclusion in the second half of the year on the Bursa-Osmaneli section. The project aims for a significant increase in capacity for both passenger and freight transport.
The line, which has a total length of 201 kilometers, is being designed to serve with trains capable of reaching 250 kilometers per hour. Once completed, it is expected to transport approximately 30 million passengers and 59 million tons of freight annually. Minister Uraloğlu pointed out that the 106-kilometer Bursa-Osmaneli section will directly connect Bursa to the high-speed train network.
Providing information about the new line, Uraloğlu stated, "When the Bursa-Osmaneli High-Speed Train Line is completed, a train departing from Bursa will connect to the Ankara-Istanbul high-speed train line via Osmaneli. Thus, travel time on the Bursa-Ankara and Bursa-Istanbul routes will drop to 2 hours and 15 minutes."
