The Kastamonu Governor's Office announced that air temperatures in the city are expected to reach 40 degrees. The governor's office stated that extreme heat and low humidity increase the risk of forest fires and emphasized that citizens need to be careful.

According to meteorological assessments, an increase of 3 to 6 degrees is expected in coastal areas, and 7 to 12 degrees in inland areas. The governor's office said, "Extreme heat and low humidity raise the fire risk to the highest level. We are in a critical period regarding forest fires, so let us avoid lighting fires and not throw cigarette butts into the environment."
