Highway accident in Bolu: Driver loses life, wife injured
In Bolu, Ekrem Ç. (72) lost control of his steering wheel at the Gerede toll booths on the Anatolian Highway and crashed his car into a concrete barrier. As a result of the accident, the driver lost his life, while his wife, Nigar Ç., was injured and taken to the hospital. Health and security teams were dispatched to the scene, and traffic flow was maintained in a controlled manner.
The car with license plate 34 YH 860, driven by Ekrem Ç. (72) on the Anatolian Highway, crashed into a concrete barrier at the Gerede toll booths after the driver lost control of the steering wheel. Upon notification of the situation, health, fire, police, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region.
Checks by medical personnel determined that the driver, who was trapped in the car, had lost his life.
Ekrem Ç.'s wife, Nigar Ç., who was injured in the accident, was taken to the Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University Training and Research Hospital.
Traffic flow in the area, which was maintained in a controlled manner for a while due to the accident, returned to normal after the car was removed from the road.
