A video, which allegedly shows Mustafa Seccad Yıldırım, the son of AKP Elazığ Provincial Chair Şerafettin Yıldırım, using drugs, has made a significant impact. The emergence of the footage sparked widespread public reaction.

In his initial assessment regarding the footage, Şerafettin Yıldırım claimed that his son had been lured into a trap by loan sharks and that the video was released for the purpose of blackmail.

RESIGNED FROM PROVINCIAL CHAIR POST

Following these developments, AKP Elazığ Provincial Chair Şerafettin Yıldırım issued a written statement announcing his resignation from his post.

In his statement, Yıldırım included the following remarks:

“As of today, I have resigned from my position as the AK Party Elazığ Provincial Chair, which I have been carrying out for 6 years with the approval of our President and Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and I have handed over my mandate.”
