HKP protests ship providing support to Israel in İzmir

The People's Liberation Party (HKP) protested the arrival of the MSC VEGA ship, which arrived to provide logistical support to Israel, at the Aliağa Nemport Port with a demonstration held at the port.

Making the statement during the action, HKP Deputy Secretary General and İzmir Provincial Chair Attorney Tacettin Çolak stated the following:

"Dear Friends, Dear People;

For 22 days, there has been an unjust war launched against Iran before the eyes of the whole world. In an environment where they are killing the military leadership in a military sense with pinpoint strikes, primarily American imperialism and Israeli Zionism are carrying out brutal massacres without even adhering to the laws of war.

The reason we are here: A decree was published by Tayyip Erdoğan three days ago. This decree concerns the transit passage of war vehicles and equipment, weapons, ammunition, and their spare parts, military explosives, and technologies related to them through the Turkish customs territory, and their re-export within the scope of transit trade. According to this decree (also published by the international press), a ship named Vega belonging to the MSC company, which has departed from Greece and is currently sailing in the Aegean Sea to dock at the Nemport port, is a ship carrying war ammunition to Israel. It is even said that metal materials used in the manufacturing of those munitions and war vehicles are being transported. Can you imagine, this government, which claims to be Muslim and has been trading on religion since the day they came to power, is allowing these military materials to transit through our country to massacre Muslims. Well, they were constantly holding demonstrations on the Galata Bridge, criticizing 'Murderer Israel' and Netanyahu, supposedly. Therefore, their opposition to Israel and their opposition to America are both fake. As the People's Liberation Party, we have always stood against injustice and lawlessness wherever it exists, and we continue to do so. We support and stand by every kind of intervention, every kind of resistance, and every kind of opposition that fights against imperialists, primarily American imperialism, European Union imperialism, and NATO, pushing them back and striking them in their dens."

During the demonstration, HKP members frequently chanted slogans such as "Murderer USA, Zionist Israel, Get Out of the Middle East", "Murderer USA, Zionist Israel, Get Out of Iran", "Murderer USA, Zionist Israel, Get Out of Palestine", "Down with US-EU Imperialism", "The Palestinian People Are Not Alone", "Imperialists and Collaborators Will Go As They Came".
