Home inspections for refugees are coming: The 'true number' will be revealed
Sözcü columnist Saygı Öztürk wrote that the Ministry of Interior will begin "home inspections" to determine the true number of Syrians, verify whether the addresses they provided are correct, and identify how many people are residing at those addresses.
Sözcü columnist Saygı Öztürk, in an article he penned regarding the refugee issue that returned to the agenda following the incidents in Kayseri, announced that the Ministry of Interior will conduct inspections of refugees' residences.
Öztürk stated the following:
“It will be determined whether the refugee is actually staying in the designated province or district. Thus, it will also be established how many refugees are in which province. The assistance of those found to have left their address without the knowledge of the competent authorities will be cut off. Undoubtedly, this situation will significantly affect the refugees. Therefore, it will be known which Syrian is in which province and at which address, and more accurate records will be kept.”
