Horrific accident on IETT bus: Driver suffered a heart attack
An IETT bus traveling on Barbaros Boulevard in Beşiktaş mounted the sidewalk after its driver suffered a heart attack. Police teams dispatched to the scene took security measures and cordoned off the area around the bus.
While traveling in the direction of Barbaros Boulevard in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, an IETT bus was involved in an accident for reasons yet unknown. Following the accident, the bus came to a stop after mounting the sidewalk. Immediately after the incident, police teams were dispatched to the scene upon reports from citizens in the area.
POLICE DISPATCHED TO THE SCENE
Police teams arrived at the area where the accident occurred and took security measures. Cordon tape was set up to block off the area, including parking lots and pedestrian walkways, and the perimeter of the bus was secured. The teams have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
DRIVER ALLEGEDLY SUFFERED A HEART ATTACK
Following the accident, it was alleged that the IETT bus driver lost control of the vehicle after suffering a heart attack. However, this claim has not yet been confirmed by official sources. Despite the bus mounting the sidewalk, it was reported that no injuries occurred in the accident.
