Horrific incident in Ankara! Sexual assault on 4 children: He bit off a child's genitals

In Ankara's Sincan district, the requested sentence has been determined for 43-year-old Evren Demirci, who attempted to sexually abuse four boys aged between 8 and 10 on August 10, 2023, and bit off the genitals of one of the children.

A prison sentence of up to 111 years has been requested for the man named Demirci.

According to the report by Mesut Hasan Benli from Hürriyet, four boys aged between 8 and 10 were playing in the street.

Evren Demirci (43), a man living in the same neighborhood, approached the children and asked for help, saying, "Take me down to the basement, help me." Upon this, the children helped Demirci go down to the coal cellar. However, after entering the cellar, Demirci closed the door and attacked the children.

The children tried to escape the cellar, but 8-year-old H.A.'s foot got caught on an iron bar while he was trying to flee. Demirci bit off the young child's genitals. As part of the investigation launched, the suspect Demirci was arrested, and a prison sentence of up to 111 years was requested for him.

In his statement taken as part of the investigation, one of the victim children, A.K., said, "I am 9 years old. While we were playing in the street, that man called us and said, 'Take me downstairs, I will give you lollipops.' We took him down. He grabbed H.A.'s hand and pulled him into the basement. H.A. tried to escape, his foot got caught on an iron bar, the man grabbed H.A. by the leg and pulled him, and bit his penis. We ran away and told his mother. H.A. came out screaming, and the police arrived." The other victim children gave similar statements.

The Ankara West Chief Public Prosecutor's Office completed the investigation it launched regarding the incident and filed a lawsuit at the Ankara West 2nd High Criminal Court against the suspect Demirci, requesting up to 111 years in prison for the crimes of 'simple sexual abuse, aggravated injury, and aggravated deprivation of liberty.'

The indictment accepted by the court stated that it was determined that the young child was injured in a way that could not be resolved with simple medical intervention and that his life was endangered due to the act he was subjected to.

In the indictment, it was stated for the suspect that "it is understood that the suspect, who was determined to have full criminal capacity, committed the crimes attributed to him as explained."
