TEAMS LAUNCH INVESTIGATION
Employees who found the body of a newborn baby girl, with her umbilical cord cut, inside a white bag at the sorting facility where waste brought from various parts of the city by garbage trucks is examined, reported the situation to the authorities.
Upon the notification, an investigation was launched by the Gendarmerie Criminal Investigation Team (JASAT) affiliated with the Provincial Gendarmerie Command and teams from the Odunpazarı District Gendarmerie Command, who arrived at the scene.
The baby's body, which was determined to have been born at home due to the umbilical cord still being attached, was taken to the morgue of the Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine Hospital for autopsy procedures.
