Horrific incident in Fatih: He killed his wife, then set the house on fire to cover it up
In a tragic incident in Fatih, Istanbul, 29-year-old Semanur Algül was killed by her husband, H.A., who then set the house on fire to conceal the crime. The investigation into the suspect, who was taken into custody following the incident, is ongoing.
In the incident that occurred at night in Fatih's Zeyrek neighborhood, flames rising from the third floor of a four-story building on Şebnem Street prompted local residents to notify the authorities, leading to the dispatch of fire crews to the scene. With the support of the police, the fire department brought the rapidly growing fire under control in a short time.
During the inspection conducted after the fire was extinguished, the lifeless body of Semanur Algül, who lived in the house, was discovered. It was stated that an autopsy would be performed on the young woman's body, which was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute following her death.
ATTEMPTED TO COVER UP EVIDENCE

Speaking after this tragic event, Semanur Algül's mother, Suzan Aydın, stated that her daughter had been subjected to violence by her husband, H.A., for a long time and that she had been worried about her life. Aydın drew attention to the situation by stating that her son-in-law exhibited threatening behavior and that she had made repeated efforts to get him treated.

Within the scope of the ongoing investigation, it was learned that Semanur Algül's body would be handed over to her family after the autopsy procedures and laid to rest in Istanbul. The police investigation continues in all its aspects.
