Horror on Mother's Day: Mother of one found buried in the ground

A mother of one, who had been missing for 8 days in Elazığ, was found buried in the ground on Mother's Day.

Receiving the tragic news of her daughter on Mother's Day and demanding that the perpetrators receive the harshest punishment, mother Zeycan Günana said she would look after her 7-year-old grandchild, who is all that remains of her daughter, for the rest of her life.

According to the information obtained, 25-year-old mother of one Dilara Günana left her home on the morning of May 4. Towards the evening, her family tried to reach Dilara. Suspecting something was wrong because her phone had been off for hours, the family reported the situation to police teams.

In the extensive investigation carried out by the Public Security Branch Directorate teams, the woman's body was found buried in the ground in the Armutluk locality of Sedeftepe village, which is connected to the city center.

The woman's body, which was removed from the ground, was taken to the Fırat University Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

The investigation into the incident, in which numerous suspects have been detained, is ongoing.

The grieving family waited for hours in front of the morgue to receive the body. The 7-year-old daughter of the murdered Günana played games with her friend in front of the morgue, unaware of anything. Those moments broke the hearts of those who witnessed them.

Receiving the tragic news of her daughter on Mother's Day, Zeycan Günana said, “I want those who killed my daughter to be found as soon as possible. Let them serve their sentences. Let them be held accountable before justice. Only then will I be at peace. Let those who did this to my daughter be revealed. I want justice, I don't want anything else. Happy Mother's Day to everyone. She has a daughter. I will look after her for the rest of my life. She is my trust.”

Stating that his missing sister was found dead, her brother Sidar Günana said, “The people who did this are known. I want them to be held accountable before justice. I want them to receive the harshest punishments. My sister was murdered on Mother's Day. She herself has a daughter. I want them to be held accountable before justice and receive the harshest punishment,” he said.
