How many Syrians have returned to their country? The number of migrant smugglers caught in 2023 has been revealed!
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced in a statement on X that 10,482 migrant smugglers were caught in 2023, with 3,744 of them arrested. Yerlikaya also announced that 82,000 Syrians have returned to their country.

In his post, Yerlikaya stated, "In operations conducted against Migrant Smuggling Organizers, 10,482 suspects were caught. 3,744 were arrested. Judicial control decisions were issued for 1,479. We are keeping a close eye on those released under judicial control as well. We are continuing our follow-up."
Yerlikaya also announced the number of Syrians who have returned to their country. Accordingly, 82,000 Syrians have voluntarily returned to their country.
