Hürriyet columnist Selvi defends Kandil lie: 'This shame is enough for Özgür Özel'

Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi targeted the CHP in his column today over the edited Kandil videos from the May 14-28 elections.

DEFENDED THE KANDIL LIE

Selvi wrote, "This black mark has been etched into the CHP's record. Kılıçdaroğlu received his reward for this by securing HDP support in the presidential election. The terror barons in Kandil ran Kılıçdaroğlu's election campaign. But this nation was suspicious of a collaboration between Kılıçdaroğlu and Kandil. They said if Kılıçdaroğlu is elected, he will hand the country over to them, and they did not vote for him." He further stated, "Kılıçdaroğlu could not win the election largely because of the relationship he established with the PKK."

"Özgür Özel took this a step further. On the night we had 12 martyrs, a proposal was brought to the Parliament to issue a joint declaration condemning the PKK terrorist organization. The AK Party, MHP, IYI Party, and Saadet Party signed the joint declaration condemning the PKK. The DEM Party, which is the political wing of the PKK, did not participate, and neither did Özgür Özel's CHP, which has attached itself to the PKK locomotive. This is happening for the first time in CHP history.

"THE CONFLICT SITUATION CONTINUES"

Sir, let the Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler inform the Parliament... Of course, that is a legitimate request. The Minister of National Defense should inform the Parliament. The CHP, which did not sign the joint declaration and took the same side as the political extension of the PKK, later issued a declaration of its own. The PKK terrorist organization is not mentioned even once in the declaration, which consists of 21 lines and 205 words. A declaration that cannot call the PKK the PKK. This shame is enough for the CHP. This shame is enough for Özgür Özel.
